Getting there: to get in Sukhumvit 511 bus and go in the direction of increasing numbers of Soi (towards the station Sky-Train On Nut) to the terminal station, which is located in Samut Prakane. From there take a taxi to the Ancient City (the taxi driver can tell the name of the Thai Muang Boran), and then a taxi to the crocodiles.

great temple..
This temple is glorious. For some reason it feels far more laid back than Wat Pho, and seems to get lest tourists as well.
One bonus is that it has a lot less tacky gold glitter everywhere. I spent 4 hours hanging out in this temple:
You must visit this temple if you are at first time in Bangkok.
It is possible to walk a limited way up the (very steep) stairs of the main prang. A real chalenge! :o)
I wish go there someday.

How many steps to reach the top? I have been to Kathmandu where the tour guide took us to the Monkey Temple. We took the 300 something steps all the way up to the temple so this picture looks strangely familiar.
Temple Wat Arun is looking very beautiful, but this temple has its own history that is hidden from the world. I am glad that your blog is containing this temple's history. You can write on the economy of Dubai. Because Dubai's economy is becoming like the Temple Wat Arun.
