Pagoda Thien Mu is the highest pagoda in Vietnam. It is located in the central part of the country in the region Bac Trung Bo, about 3 km west of the city Hue . A seven-storey building was founded in 1601 from a command of Nguyen Hoang. The original and simple building was expanded and restored in 1665.
Later a triple gate, various small temples,a bell tower, towers, a meditation hall and residential buildings were added. Inside the temple there is exhibited a marble statue of a turtle, which is a symbol of longevity. In the main hall there stands a statue of Gautama Buddha. Pagoda Thien Mu has recetly been an iconic place for the Vietnamese .

This is a very lovely place! It's always fascinating to see these old structures...structures that were given a lot of time and effort to build..truly it showcases how created and innovative man can be.
